Cala D'or

A few weeks ago I went on my first holiday abroad for years!


Sadly it turns out I have a fear of flying which I didn't have before. I really think the pressure in my head is off, I could feel every slight change in altitude and it gave me an ocular migraine which sucked. But pretty views and went right over the Pyrenees mountains! We ended up not doing anything the first day since we bought groceries and were tired.


The second day it was super stormy, with the heaviest hail I've ever seen and lots of lightning. Annoyingly the wifi and tv weren't working at this point aside from a few Spanish channels (this got fixed a few days later so we had British tv stations, but we ended up watching the Spanish version of cartoon network a lot since you can change the language back to English haha). We also had a nice view of the marina from the living room which is great as I love boats (they remind me of the Isle of Wight).


I fell in love with the cheap alcohol in lots of interesting flavours. We also found cans of Monster that we resealable, which was pretty cool! Although I struggled for food since there wasn't really anything veggie at all.


When the sun came out, it was scorching! Being the end of May I guess it wasn't really THAT hot, but it was just right for me. The pool was way too cold though so I couldn't venture in fully, but it was perfect for sitting on the edge with feet dangling in.


There were 2 beaches nearby, and the smaller one was super quiet in the evenings so we went there to watch the sun set a few times. We also went to a bigger beach at Sa Coma on one day, and there were lots of German cyclists (there were German signs everywhere too!), and a lady with a wheelbarrow of fruit encouraging us to buy pineapple and watermelon.

Did I mention cheap delicious alcohol? May have spent the week being a stereotypical Brit by drinking a lot.


I was sad that we wasted a beautiful day driving around the mountains as it got boring really quickly. The plants there just aren't as nice as the ones we have, mostly super dry earth and cacti. The ocean looked amazing though!


I was also excited to try 'Angry Fries' from Burger King. Wish we had them here as they were tasty! Especially enjoyable when sat by the pool in a swimsuit.

At first I thought I'd be bored all week, but after taking a few days to get into it I didn't really want to leave. I guess I just enjoy lounging around in the sun and not doing anything constructive...although if I could take the weather and put it on the Isle of Wight I'd still rather go there, I think! But I'd go again, definitely.

Missing the Sun

The past few weeks have been really Summery and sunny, but now it's rainy and horrible again! So I figured I'd write about the things I did when the weather was nice to try and forget about how gross it is outside right now.

Since I live very close to the lake, I've been a few times recently.


I fed the ducks with my family on one day and had a picnic.


The next day I went back with Rob, but we had a cream tea too!

I've also been to Longleat again.


This time we walked through the lemur enclosure and there was a baby lemur!


We also encountered a very nosy ostrich in the safari section. I think it mistook me for a bird as I was wearing a cap.


The lions were also enjoying the sun! Did you hear on the news recently about the family whose car caught fire in the lion enclosure here?

Last week it was super nice and we had a craving for the sea, so we went to Weymouth for the afternoon.


We bought drinks & sushi on the way there, and I also made yummy ploughman's rolls for each of us!

I have a feeling that Rob doesn't like having his photo taken haha.


The sand was so lovely between my toes! We just read our books and sunbathed and ate ice cream. I wish we lived by the sea so we could do it all the time.


Bikini selfie before washing off all the sand. I managed to miss a few spots with sun cream so I had pink spots on my back! Also thinking about getting my belly button pierced, but not sure my belly is flat enough.

How have you been enjoying Summer so far? We've also had a bunch of barbecues but I'm not that big a fan of them anymore since dieting became a thing!

Catch-Up - Sorry I've been rubbish!

I've been so busy recently with work and being tired and just in general not having enough time! I've been neglecting my blog a little, and completely neglecting my YouTube channel as filming videos takes too much effort. I really need to stop procrastinating! I'm sorry!

I figure I'll post a few random photos that were on my phone (my camera is out of batteries which is part of the reason I've not been good with my blogging).

My family have Longleat annual passes, so we go really often! Our visit tied in the Black Milk Photo A Day challenge day that was 'with an animal' so I got photos with the cuties!

Beautiful house. I'd love to do a lolita meet here, but entry is too expensive and you need to be able to drive, which sucks.

We also had a short trip to Weston-Super-Mare.

We ate chips and then went back home haha.

BBQs & Beaches

This weekend was both busy and relaxing at the same time, with a lot of time spent in the sun! I've never been much of a Summer person as I don't deal with heat well, but when you are lazing around and not doing anything it's just about bearable ;]

I ended up spending the whole weekend over Rob's house, which was great because his house is always cold!

We went down to our local high street and I found Draculaura (may have done the whole over-excited and making odd noises thing =P).


On the Saturday evening we had a barbecue. It ended up being pretty expensive and we didn't know what we were going, but it was delicious and nice to sit outside all evening!


Rob was in charge of the food - all veggie, of course. Because I'm 'wrong in the face' like that. We had burgers and sausages =3

On the Sunday, we drove down to Weymouth. Usually we go Weston-Super-Mare, but Rob always complains about it! The journey took around 2 hours, but we had Frank Turner CDs to keep us happy =P


Managed to wear a somewhat gothic outfit to the beach?! Although I stripped to my fluorescent bikini as soon as we got to the beach.

The shops were a lot more rubbish than I remembered, and we struggled to find decent food for lunch. But after that we just sunbathed all day!


We only paddled for a short while as some little brats started harassing us, telling us to get a room (...we were standing about a foot apart) and splashing us so I got annoyed and stormed back to the beach! I think Rob found sunbathing a bit boring, but he wouldn't paddle without me and I didn't want to get wet Dx



It was a perfect beach day really, although due to the good weather the beach was totally packed. But I got to eat chips and ice cream so I was more than happy!

I usually burn despite sun cream, but I only burned in a few places this time as I kept my sun lotion topped up. But burns in odd places - ankles, feet, between my boobs, butt cheeks!! Next time I think I'll put lotion over my whole body before putting on my bikini so I don't miss anywhere.

Unfortunately back to being boiled and bored in my room now as I have a database to put together (I have no idea what I'm doing). Also assuming I'm missing out on a party later as my housemate finished all his exams, but I have a hospital appointment and will be visiting my ill brother in hospital too =[
