Christmas Presents!

Been a bad blogger again, but I knew if I didn't do this post I would just leave my gifts in bags on my floor forever haha.

The first presents I opened were from Rob on Christmas Eve, a cute little owl snowglobe and some yummy chocs! He also ordered the Matte Pink Zip Suit, but it won't be here for a few weeks. Eeeeeeee!

On Christmas morning I opened my gifts from Sophie first. Felt so spoiled! Cute kitty socks, dress-up Pony mug, and Oujia-themed jewellery from Sugar & Vice

Next I opened gifts from Rob's family. His mum always spoils me like crazy, I feel so guilty Dx I got a cute penguin hat and glove set (the gloves are too small for my man hands, nuuuuuuuuu! Hoping I can chop off the thumbs and stretch them out a little), chocolate wafer straws, boot bling, nail files, chocolate coins, glittery boots, London-themed jimmies, and Harry Potter socks. The bath set is from Rob's mum's boyfriend's sister haha.

Before a big Christmas lunch (with a yummy nut roast pastry thing that dad makes every year...yummmmm) I opened gifts from my dad's side of the family. I got the Wrapped Up Reversible Skater Dress, Max Raptor CD, and some Bodyshop stuff from my grandparents, and more Bodyshop stuff and Marmozets and Reuben CDs from my aunt. I'm a bit obsessed with Marmozets already!

The last gifts I opened in the evening were from my parents. My Dr Martens weren't wrapped up after having them put back for ages, ugh! I got cup measures, some watches for work, a Hello Kitty cake/jelly mould, Hello Kitty duvet, Hello Kitty belt (which my mum didn't realise was age 7-8, so it might make a good garter? lol), Hello Kitty mug & coaster set, and 6 pairs of sale tights from Next. So I actually got a bunch of stuff I will use! Success!

Little Shopping Spree...Oops!

Since Rob was ill I found myself with a free day, so I figured I'd head back into Bristol again.

I always dress boring when shopping...

I saw a Pinkie I don't own in T.K.Maxx, but she was a bit battered and out of battery and not worth £20. I also fell in love with boots but they only had sizes 37 and 39 and I needed a 38. Typical!

I finally had the McDonald's I'd been craving for months, and it was the worst one I've ever eaten! So cold. Ew.

...yup.

I tried these shoes on in New Look and decided I'd never wear them. I wish I'd bought them now though as they were surprisingly comfortable, in the sale, and the last pair in the store =[

I picked up the New Look order I made ages ago. It hadn't arrived in time for me to pick up on Saturday which was annoying. I'm not sure about keeping the clutch at all as it's entirely useless, but it's adorably stupid! Also annoying is the fact that the garterbelt has a gross green stain on the back, but as it was a sale item I can only be given sale credit if I return it >=/ hopefully it washes out, but really unimpressed. The cat car freshener is for Rob haha (well, for his car).

I love love love these shoes in H&M, but I can't decide if I should get the red velvet ones (cuter) or the black ones (more practical).

Other junk! H&M tops I tried on a few weeks back, a Nyan Cat deckbox for Rob for Christmas, Lemongrab card case, sale Rainbow Power Fashion Pinkie Pie, Royal Blood 7" (for Dad's birthday), Jamie Lenman 7", signed copy of Dry The River's album, and a Billy Talent album. I also got some Mars bars to store in case of tattoos, chocolate Hobnobs, and a big bag of marshmallows!

The tops when I tried them on before. I know they'll be in the sale soon enough, but S always sells out first so I grabbed them now anyway. I mean, they're totally me, right? I'll be getting more stuff from the sale anyway hopefully...

My big disappointments were that one of my main goals was to buy thick OTK socks in Primark as I saw some in the Bath store recently, but I couldn't find them anywhere. I did find cute fox tights, but I didn't want to queue for one thing that I hadn't expressly gone out to buy (other than the music everything else I got today was on my list). I also couldn't find the USA Pro bottoms I own (they're too big and I wanted to buy a smaller size), and nowhere sold cheap birthday cards (mum wanted me to buy some for her). Boo! At least I wasn't sat at home bored all day though.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

I really need to stop shopping! My room is a ridiculous hoarder's mess and I need to throw things out, but doing so gives me crazy panic attacks. No choice but try to soldier through it, but it's so hard! My style changes all the time so if I get rid of something I know I'll want it back a few months down the line.

First up is my most recent Black Milk order! Impulse buys as they went limited. The Burned Velvet Sheer Spartans were $90 (£50.35), and they look pretty cool but I have no idea how to wear them as you can see pants through! I'll also have to remove the labels are they show as well haha. Crazy Cat Lady Reversible Skater Dress was $85 (£47.55) and is almost completely sold out now, so I'm glad I took a chance on it. I did get hit with around £30 customs though, which stung.

The print looks so much better in real life! I wore it today as I couldn't wait to give it a go. The new cut made me a little uncomfortable at first as it's cut much lower in the front and I don't really have the chest for it, but I still like it.

Here I am modelling it by a giant kitten in town! All cats, all the time.

This Wet Look Cheerleader Skirt was waiting for me when I got home. I got it on Ebay for £22 and although it's tagged it has white stains on =/ I should be able to clean it up, but the lying seller doesn't seem likely to give me any money back. The cut looks really uneven too, but hopefully I can get wear out of it anyway.

Whilst in town I was finally able to find this lucky cat top in H&M in (hopefully) my size! I also found a reduced Pinkie Pie in Claire's, & Rob treated me to a Pokémon booster and some loose cards in Pink Planet =3 he also bought me a yummy hot chocolate in Costa to make up for the disappointment of BOTH bubble tea shops being closed down.

Lastly, my Y-R-U Qosmos that I ordered from Schuh! They were £55 each and I was supposed to buy one pair, but I couldn't choose. They have 365 day returns, so I figure I can just return them if I never use them. I'm a little disappointed with how they look close up, but it's not like it notices when worn. One shoe has a bump where the logo is stitched on the heel which sucks and will probably cause blisters, but I think it would be too much hassle to try to exchange them =[ other than that they seemed pretty comfy when I tried them on, and fit well considering I have really awkwardly sized feet.

Honestly they don't look right on my tiny feet and stumpy twiggy-ankled legs, but I just love them! Hopefully I can wear them a lot and hopefully my mum won't kill me for buying new things (she will).

I accidentally bought a bunch more things on Ebay, AND have Battle of the Kings Black Milk on the way. Must try really hard to avoid all shopping now -_-

Shopping for Work...Sort Of.

On Tuesday I had to go shopping by myself as I had to throw out my work shoes! They had completely worn through at the heels and the sole was hanging off...so I threw them out and was left with no suitable shoes to wear! Obviously I ended up buying too much random stuff and eating too much junk as well, as per usual.

Random bits and bobs from Waterstones, HMV, H&M, Entertainer, & Boots! New comics (Adventure Time & Rat Queens), CDs (Dave McPherson & Bring Me The Horizon), toys, phone case, & hair dye.

Crop and shorts from H&M (I already own these shorts in a bigger size but they stretched out like crazy and won't stay up anymore), and my new work shoes! They're Slazenger ones from SoccerSports and they only cost £13.99 haha.

Aaaand obligatory Primark haul. I actually put back most of the stuff that I wanted! I can't really feel bad about buying pants and socks I guess, but I probably shouldn't have bought more vests!

I also bought fudge for Rob, Sesame Street stuff for mum, pirate socks for my bro, and chocolate for my dad. I'm so generous~ haha.

Post-Meet Shopping Spree

Since it was still kinda early when the meet ended (around 4pm), I decided to do a little shopping! This inevitably turned into a lot of shopping, and lots of fitting room selfies!

I'm thinking of getting my belly button pierced, so crop tops are a must!

H&M is perf atm! Although this crop is kinda baggy at the bottom for some reason.

I really wanted this in Primark but it was too scratchy! I also wanted a cute pink satchel but they were all damaged, and there were amazing blue glitter jelly shoes but the sizes were dumb (3/4 or 5/6, and I'm a 4/5 so neither would be close to fitting!). H&M also disappointed me by not having the 2 tops & 1 sweater I've been wanting in small enough sizes. Boo!

...at the bus station I realised that I may have bought too much anyway.

Time to inspect the damage!

I think I need to get rid of old things to make room for new now!

I firstly got tempted by Pinkie Pie stuff in Forbidden Planet. The cashier was impressed by my dedication to Pinkie collecting. They also had Game Of Thrones stuff but it was too expensive!

Poundland stuff. Snacks for lazy day with Rob tomorrow and a MLP colouring book for the collection.

The H&M stuff I tried on in the photos above. I've been wanting the shorts for ages, and this was the only pair in the store. FATE.

Vest and bikini from Primark. I hope the bikini bottoms fit as the ones I tried on were a size smaller and I was too lazy to take off all my lolita layers again to try a bigger size! I have a feeling I'll probably only use the top anyway as it's super cute.

Thus concludes my shopping spree of the day! I really need to curb my spending as I realised that my addiction has been creeping back since I went teetotal. Why does life suck so bad?

Back in the Loop

For a while now I've not been wearing lolita, but today I wore it to uni. I was worried about it at first, but the second I stepped out of the house I felt really comfortable as apparently I'd forgotten that I'm out of fucks to give =P

I didn't take any outfit photos as it wasn't anything new (just a casual coord with my Sugary Carnival skirt, BTSSB biker parka, and engineer boots), but I did pick up some new ponies on the way home! I only really like the Lyra one, but oh well hehe.

I have no idea what other new ones are about that I don't have as I'm out of the pony loop too. All I know is I can't rebuy the new versions of the mane 6 as I already have them twice ^_^' although I think glitter cutiemark versions are in the works and I love glitter, sooooo I'll probably end up buying those. Wish ponies were cheaper!

Now I have to figure out if I am awake enough to try to write my psychoanalysis essay or if I should just have a nap instead. I fear I'm favouring the latter.

Bristol Buys!

Yesterday I went to Bristol to meet up with some friends who I haven't seen in a while! Although the day went far too quickly it was nice to see everyone casually (since usually we're all frilled up - so odd seeing plain-clothed lolis!).

We didn't really get up to much, but we did get some shopping done! I always get a bit overexcited when shopping ^_^' I really shouldn't have bought anything, but I don't regret any of my purchases so who cares, ohohohoho.

Primark gets! Total was about £17.

Black daps, lilac sheer-backed top, star suspender tights, black backpack.

Better photo of the top! So pretty, and only cost £3.

I also inevitably made some purchases in The Entertainer. I was thrilled to see the new ponies on shelves already! They even had Princess Cadence, but I couldn't justify the purchase. But I finally completed the small pony set (if we ignore the bridesmaid ponies as I think I'll only buy Rarity in addition to Pinkie Pie since they're my two favourites) with Diamond Rose.

Aaand of course we ended up in a pub afterwards. There was a Green Lantern with a green latern!

Was a little tipsy on the bus back and ended up half-deafening myself with my music and almost missed my stop because I was enjoying Justboy too much haha. This was my view when I was waiting for the bus - a double rainbow!

And there was a huge full moon in the evening.

Other news, someone my dad works with is moving into a rental property so they can't keep their cats, so we're having one of them! Kind of annoying as my cat allergy has gotten a lot worse in the time we've had no cats, but I do love cats so I can't complain too much. This is Hugo!

Pretty excited for tomorrow as I FINALLY get to go to a Bristol Zoo meet! I missed the last two as I was on holiday both times. I hope it doesn't rain too much as I love going to the zoo. I should probably go put an outfit together now!

New Shelves!

I actually asked for a new bookshelf for Christmas, but we only just got one Dx

So I thought I'd share it!

Turns out I have a lot fewer books and things than I thought. However ideally I'd like to get a CD case so I can put all my CDs in one place (these are only the ones I've acquired over the last year or so), and then move all my books from my crappy old case into this one eventually. Definitely considering moving my manga as they're all stuffed into my old case scruffily! Ahaha okay I was in the middle of writing this and mum just got home with a CD shelving unit for me, hells yeah.

Records, CDs, Pocket Pikachu, Sailor Moon cards, Book of Clow, Pokémon annual, notebooks.

Books! Novels on top and other on bottom.

Japanese magazines (Kera, Gothic & Lolita Bible, Fruits, Popteen, Egg), textbooks (Psychology and Neurobiology).

And all this leaves my old crappy shelf to be a toy shelf! I have no idea how to arrange my stuff though, or whether to debox my ponies and dolls or not ^_^' Definitely open to ideas! Also since my records are out now, my dad finally knows that I collect them and he had to show off his collection.

Much more impressive than mine, but he has been collecting them for 30 years or so! Also it turns out he owns one Muse album on vinyl...the ONE albums of theirs I don't own. Lucky!

Hmm I guess now I have to put this CD thingy together and then move all my stuff AGAIN!! Don't know whether to alphabetise my CDs and books or whether to put them in order of how likely I am to use them...

Baking up a storm.

Tomorrow is the first lolita meet in a while and we should be having a picnic, so I wanted to make something yummy! I couldn't decide between muffins and cupcakes, so I figured: why not do both?

Turns out we only had 5 cupcake cases, so the rest of the cupcake mix was used to make a cupcake-shaped cake! As for the muffins, blueberry was the obvious choice as my parents went away for a few days and left a fridge full of the things, and I'm not overly keen on them. There are still some left!

The cakes before they were baked!

And on the cooling rack. My muffins went soggy-bottomed to they're now upside down. Not sure if it will save them or not though Dx

Between baking and washing up afterwards, I spent almost 3 hours in the kitchen! Wao. If that seems like a long time, it's because I mix everything by hand. Don't need no mixer.

I'll post photos of them fully done after the meet as I don't want to spoil the surprise! I don't even know how to decorate them yet, so I'll be spending another hour or so in the kitchen this afternoon. I'm off for a long soak in the bath (complete with purple glitter and bubbles) first though!

Here are some songs about baking! I feel like this when I'm making cakes haha.

Yes, I'm a big child. I ain't even mad.

Also the other day I made veggie spaghetti bolognese with my mum.

I love food, so getting into cooking it is a good idea ;]

Don't you think cooking is fun? What are youre favourite things to make?
