Back in the Loop

For a while now I've not been wearing lolita, but today I wore it to uni. I was worried about it at first, but the second I stepped out of the house I felt really comfortable as apparently I'd forgotten that I'm out of fucks to give =P

I didn't take any outfit photos as it wasn't anything new (just a casual coord with my Sugary Carnival skirt, BTSSB biker parka, and engineer boots), but I did pick up some new ponies on the way home! I only really like the Lyra one, but oh well hehe.


I have no idea what other new ones are about that I don't have as I'm out of the pony loop too. All I know is I can't rebuy the new versions of the mane 6 as I already have them twice ^_^' although I think glitter cutiemark versions are in the works and I love glitter, sooooo I'll probably end up buying those. Wish ponies were cheaper!

Now I have to figure out if I am awake enough to try to write my psychoanalysis essay or if I should just have a nap instead. I fear I'm favouring the latter.

New Shelves!

I actually asked for a new bookshelf for Christmas, but we only just got one Dx

So I thought I'd share it!

Turns out I have a lot fewer books and things than I thought. However ideally I'd like to get a CD case so I can put all my CDs in one place (these are only the ones I've acquired over the last year or so), and then move all my books from my crappy old case into this one eventually. Definitely considering moving my manga as they're all stuffed into my old case scruffily! Ahaha okay I was in the middle of writing this and mum just got home with a CD shelving unit for me, hells yeah.


Records, CDs, Pocket Pikachu, Sailor Moon cards, Book of Clow, Pokémon annual, notebooks.


Books! Novels on top and other on bottom.


Japanese magazines (Kera, Gothic & Lolita Bible, Fruits, Popteen, Egg), textbooks (Psychology and Neurobiology).

And all this leaves my old crappy shelf to be a toy shelf! I have no idea how to arrange my stuff though, or whether to debox my ponies and dolls or not ^_^' Definitely open to ideas! Also since my records are out now, my dad finally knows that I collect them and he had to show off his collection.


Much more impressive than mine, but he has been collecting them for 30 years or so! Also it turns out he owns one Muse album on vinyl...the ONE albums of theirs I don't own. Lucky!

Hmm I guess now I have to put this CD thingy together and then move all my stuff AGAIN!! Don't know whether to alphabetise my CDs and books or whether to put them in order of how likely I am to use them...

Obligatory 'I'm still here!' Update

Well really all that's been happening with me was a sudden influx of stuff I had to do so I had to actually *gasp* do some work! Although data collection hasn't been going too well (only had 4 participants so far), I had a report to write and now I have to start making my database. I have no idea where to start so I'm ignoring it today - the plan is to lock myself in the lab tomorrow until it's done as I concentrate better there with no windows and no distractions and no endless cups of tea!

In other news, I'm actually kind of on speaking terms with all of my housemates now after spending 9 months solid ignoring them and generally being annoyed by their assholishness. So it's not really something I was expecting! I actually get on with all of them really well, so it's a shame it didn't happen sooner. Things are kind of awkward in other ways now, but nothing I can't handle. Probably.

Oh, I also finally got my hands on a Glimmer Wings pony! I bought her from Amazon as it was the first time I'd seen any being sold in the country. I just bought the other two on Ebay so hopefully they'll arrive soon too. Haven't had a new pony in ages!


Concerning vinyls, I have a bunch more now! You can view them here. Next post will probably be a Frank Turner related one as I recently ordered a bunch of cool stuff. Not sure if it'll all come though as I had problems with my card for my vinyl order and had to reorder. One of the items I wanted went out of stock between orders =/ hope my payment actually goes through this time!!

Off out to enjoy (well, to tolerate) the nice weather now! So until next time...

Blind Bags

At first I had no intention of buying the blind bag ponies as my pony collection is already insane and I can't really afford them. But an eBay seller sent me some by accident and sold on the items that were supposed to me mine, so I ended up with 6 blind bags.

I also already had my glow-in-the-dark Pinkie Pie that I bought at Hyper Japan!

But yesterday I was out shopping, and I came across some in Snooks. I was really surprised as their pony section keeps shrinking! I didn't notice them at first - I grabbed the tube I'd gone in for and was looking for Monster High dolls (which they no longer sell), and I saw some non-pony blind bags. So I hunted around the shelf a little...and there they were!


I bought what was left of the box (5 packs, but I stuck my other 4 and AJ in there to keep them together). So I managed to spend £17 on ponies in there in total Dx


I just went to collect the last 2 from the post depot, so opening times!


My haul! Excluding my Pinkie as she's at home. Also I have two doubles which I didn't open. Don't know whether to sell them or give them away.

I think I might try to get the whole set of these now (I think they're the 3rd lot), otherwise I'll sell ones I'm less keen on.


Yesterday I also picked up these cute accessories from H&M! Thanks to Amy for letting me know they were there. The pony clips are so derp, but the Kiki & Lala set is so cute!


And today I bought these after thinking over whether to buy them. They're from the kids section and they're really tight, but they were only £8 and I'm going to try to stretch them out! They look fine on, but they just enhance my already prominent love handles!!

Wondering how long it will take before a new box of blind bags arrives at Snooks. I think I'll check tomorrow and take the list of bag numbers I need!
