Excursion!

I made a fail of an H&M online order a week or so ago, so I had to return pretty much everything (the XS top was too small, the S top was too big, the Pusheen nightie was just vile). But it was a good excuse to out for the day by myself!

Couldn't resist grabbing a sharkie drink before getting the bus.

After returning the stuff to H&M in Bath and popping into Topshop, I got my tragus changed to a shorter bar and a cheeky rook piercing from Broad Street Studio. Most of my reason for this trip was that I need an old piercing checked out, but apparently it's fine!

Then it was chill time while I ate lunch at my favourite spot in town - Norfolk Crescent. After a few chapters of Goblet of Fire I hopped on a bus to Bristol.

Tried on such a pretty dress in H&M!

And silly little boy's pjs in Primark. Not sure about keeping them as the bottoms are too short and have...erm..."room" in the crotch haha.

Full haul! Jeans from H&M, blood necklace from Topshop, the rest from Primark. I had intended to get some Yankee Candle Halloween stuff but felt uncomfortable in the store, so I ordered some online instead!

I'll admit, I did more sitting and reading than shopping on this occasion!

Tongue Piercing

Oh man, I've been wanting my tongue pierced for AGES but things kept getting in the way. When a few weeks ago I finally went to get it, I was told my tongue was too short. So naturally I just went somewhere else for it...

Since Electric Vintage in Bath doesn't have a piercer in on Tuesday (my day off), I went to Pierced Up in Bristol. I'd heard lots of good things about their piercer from sharkies previously anyway!

This photo was taken the day of the piercing. You can't actually see it at all as it's kind of far back, but at least that means less risk of tooth/gum damage and it is more comfortable in my mouth.

However my tongue most definitely is short. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to stick my tongue out anymore! It is pierced at an angle around my tongue frenulum, but I'm hoping the top looks less wonky once the swelling has gone down.

The piercing itself was surprisingly painless. The ball tightening, not so much! Also not convinced the bar I have is long enough as I didn't swell much and there's no bar spare at all =/

I was told to only drink water and eat soup, avoiding dairy and sugar. That didn't work out. Went to the cinema the day after getting it, and due to the good weather nowhere was selling soup so I had to painfully work through half a sandwich. I'd had 300kcal that day. I went to bed at 6pm feeling sick and dizzy, woke up at 5am hypoglycaemic. Heart palpitations, hot/cold sweats, the lot. So I ate chocolate salted caramel cake after my soup and had a cup of tea. Much better! Fearing infection and prolonged swelling, but my blood sugars dive very quickly so not eating just isn't an option. Looking forward to solid food though, and missing chilli a lot!

Aaaand I went shopping after the piercing, as per usual. This is my H&M haul, including the size swap for the jealous dress I bought the other day. It's still slightly big? Wtf H&M?

And my Primark haul. Been wanting a jacket like this for ages, and it was only £14! Had also been after these pyjamas for a while, but the shorts are so short on them!

Hoping my tongue is healed up by Download! Next on my list is industrial, but not looking forward to it as I know it'll suck (and not sure my ears are the right shape either, ughhh).

Out & About

I made an online order to arrive in store so I had to make another trip into Bath yesterday!

So firstly I picked up the New Look order in Bath (after taking ages and ages to get there...). I got that top I tried on recently, and impulse bought a cheap skirt from the kids section (reluctant to try it on...it looks big enough, but who knows?!), some tattoo bracelets, and a super cheap and cute purse.

I then dashed up to Broad Street to get my septum jewellery changed, but it looked shut. I discovered when I'd just caught the bus to Bristol that they actually were open and that refurbishments had been finished. Argh! I did get a gift for someone in the Cath Kidston store near it though.

I had a very late lunch at around 4pm in College Green before going up Park Street to Forbidden Planet. I had a Boots meal deal of veggie sushi, carrots and humous, and Naked superfood smoothie!

Tried on a bunch of awesome black things in H&M, but I'm tight on money so I'm thinking on these things. I really want the skirt, but I'd have to buy 2 sizes smaller than usual and cut out the underskirt in order to wear it as high up as possible due to my height!

I think I will probably end up going back for this vest too at some point, although £25 is pretty expensive for something pointless. Also think maybe I need a bigger size? Idk what it's supposed to look like tbh aha.

Also sad I couldn't get these cute Mickey Mouse shorts. They didn't have my size, boooo.

Here are my other buys of the day! The pony came from Tesco before I caught the bus to Bath, the A Day To Remember CD was from Bath, and the rest was from Bristol (all Primark except the vest on the right which was from H&M).

Today I went to Clarks Village with Rob, and wore my Mr Shark shorts. I love them a lot!

I met a huge Lindt bunny! Other than eating burgers in Spoons the only thing we bought was a pair of £1 skull earrings from Claire's so it was a bit of a failed trip. Had to be out in the good weather we've been having though.

And now to work ridiculous shifts for the rest of week. Doing 18.5 hours over Thursday and Friday alone, and I'm only contracted to do 17 hours IN A WEEK ugh.

Cardiff & River House Backpackers

Since I live a little while from Cardiff, I inevitably had to find somewhere to stay while visiting. I arrived just after 2pm on the Tuesday.

I ended up staying in a hostel called the River House Backpackers. Honestly, I really loved this place! The staff were very welcoming and the whole place was bright, clean, and very homely. £17 got me a night's stay in a 4-person women-only room on the third floor, and it was only 5 minutes from Cardiff Central.

There was even a cheeky street cat there!

A short walk away was Cardiff castle. There were lots of squirrels chasing each other around in the park next to it!

I had nachos and a pint at a Wetherspoons in town after having a little look around the galleries in the National Museum. I didn't get much time there as I had left the hostel later than originally planned due to anxiety.

The next day I got up quite early and had free breakfast! There was a variety of cereals, yoghurt, bread, pastries, welsh cakes, juices, and there were free tea and coffee on offer for the whole stay.

I went back to the museum to look at the small natural history section. Taxidermy birds everywhere!

I also had another quick look at the gallery. This painting was my favourite.

Before heading home I went back to the Wetherspoons as they still do mexican burgers in that one! Awh yiss.

Next I went shopping! I realised I might be a goth as I tried on so many black clothes and only 1 non-black thing...

Spoopy4lyf

Picked a few black basics and also this pleather top. Not sure about keeping it though as wouldn't know what to wear it with and it seems a bit formal for daily wear.

I ended up leaving in the afternoon and getting home at around 5pm. Was awfully tired afterwards, and still kinda am!

Belated Christmas(?) Shopping!

On Tuesday I was dragged shopping with my mum. I hate shopping with my mum. She doesn't let me buy much (even with my own money) and bullies me into buying clothes that don't fit by calling me fat, etc. And what was supposed to be late Christmas gifts is apparently now birthday ones a month early =/

First stop was Gourmet Burger Kitchen for food. Mum's choice, I don't like the soggy mush they call a veggie burger in this place. The onion rings & skin-on fries are HEAVEN though! I could barely move afterwards & didn't need to eat again for a full 24 hours so that says something about the amount I ate as I'm always hungry usually.

I also took the time to powerwalk from town up to Rise to pick up another copy of The Mindsweep, this time a signed vinyl. I managed to get up there & back in around 35 minutes, which is pretty good going. I almost died, hate that hill! Got another Xtra Mile wristband too, for some reason!

Here's the stuff I bought myself. There were some cute cheap boots I wish I had picked up, but daaamn I was so between sizes in them! The boots & rings here were from an H&M online order that arrived while I was out. The jacket is from Primark, I'm not sure about keeping it as the arms are too big, but I doubt I'll find better at an affordable price, & I may hand it to my grandparents for them to give to me for my birthday. The crop is also from H&M, but is somehow too loose despite being the smallest size they do (say whaaa?!).

Stuff mum bought me. Hate to sound ungrateful but the only things that fit are the sports bra & gym bottoms (these are borderline, I could have sized down again but there is no way mum would ever buy me an 8 in anything), & that's coz I ignored her objections to my size choices for those. Everything else is too big, but I'm stuck with them as she paid on card. At least if I ever get fat I have clothes, I guess? Definitely refusing to go shopping with family in future. Which means I'll never get any gifts as mum refuses to give me money as I'll 'waste it'. Because clothes that don't fit aren't a waste at all or anything...

Little Shopping Spree...Oops!

Since Rob was ill I found myself with a free day, so I figured I'd head back into Bristol again.

I always dress boring when shopping...

I saw a Pinkie I don't own in T.K.Maxx, but she was a bit battered and out of battery and not worth £20. I also fell in love with boots but they only had sizes 37 and 39 and I needed a 38. Typical!

I finally had the McDonald's I'd been craving for months, and it was the worst one I've ever eaten! So cold. Ew.

...yup.

I tried these shoes on in New Look and decided I'd never wear them. I wish I'd bought them now though as they were surprisingly comfortable, in the sale, and the last pair in the store =[

I picked up the New Look order I made ages ago. It hadn't arrived in time for me to pick up on Saturday which was annoying. I'm not sure about keeping the clutch at all as it's entirely useless, but it's adorably stupid! Also annoying is the fact that the garterbelt has a gross green stain on the back, but as it was a sale item I can only be given sale credit if I return it >=/ hopefully it washes out, but really unimpressed. The cat car freshener is for Rob haha (well, for his car).

I love love love these shoes in H&M, but I can't decide if I should get the red velvet ones (cuter) or the black ones (more practical).

Other junk! H&M tops I tried on a few weeks back, a Nyan Cat deckbox for Rob for Christmas, Lemongrab card case, sale Rainbow Power Fashion Pinkie Pie, Royal Blood 7" (for Dad's birthday), Jamie Lenman 7", signed copy of Dry The River's album, and a Billy Talent album. I also got some Mars bars to store in case of tattoos, chocolate Hobnobs, and a big bag of marshmallows!

The tops when I tried them on before. I know they'll be in the sale soon enough, but S always sells out first so I grabbed them now anyway. I mean, they're totally me, right? I'll be getting more stuff from the sale anyway hopefully...

My big disappointments were that one of my main goals was to buy thick OTK socks in Primark as I saw some in the Bath store recently, but I couldn't find them anywhere. I did find cute fox tights, but I didn't want to queue for one thing that I hadn't expressly gone out to buy (other than the music everything else I got today was on my list). I also couldn't find the USA Pro bottoms I own (they're too big and I wanted to buy a smaller size), and nowhere sold cheap birthday cards (mum wanted me to buy some for her). Boo! At least I wasn't sat at home bored all day though.

Sunny Day Out

After weeks and weeks of people messing with my plans, I finally got to go to Bath today! I had so many errands to run, so having to cancel on myself over and over was really frigging annoying.

After picking up my train tickets for Reading Festival, I started shopping! Which involved trying on lots of things I couldn't afford, including a gorgeous cardigan on Urban Outfitters that I didn't get a photo of.

I've been wanting this dress in Topshop for ages, but this size is too small, the non-petite sizes are all too big, and the size that would fit me is apparently completely sold out. Boo.

I also tried these just for a laugh, but it somehow made a pretty cute outfit! I really want these shorts now, but they were too expensive.

In H&M I spotted this top and thought it was so me, but wtf is this length? If it ever gets reduced I might get it, but whaaa

This dress was only a fiver, but eh if only it were black!

This one I've been eyeing for a while, but I left it. In Bath, anyway. I had to go home via Bristol, so I picked one up there ;P

After picking up some shoes I ordered and buying some other ones, I went up to Broad Street Studio to get my belly button pierced! I love going to that place for piercings.

This photo was taken once I'd cleaned it up back home since it was kinda bloody at first. I'm really not sure about it, but oh well.

I then went to find some grass to sit on and bought some treats.

The sandwich I made yesterday was delicious! Quorn fillets in mayo, sweet chilli, & chilli cheese.

I ended up spending over 2 hours just lounging around and reading.

I somehow managed to find a really quiet spot!

I then had to get the bus to Bristol, where I did a little more shopping. I ended up getting some things in Primark since the Bath Primark was reaaaally rubbish. I didn't get the Ravenclaw shirt I'd been wanting for ages though, as it looked horrible! Then it was time to go home.

Here are the shoes I got! ASPCA Vans from Schuh that I used a discount code for, and some sandals from New Look. Need to try them both though.

A bunch of hair stuff from Boots and Just Beauty.

The H&M dress...so floaty!

Aaaaaand I bought 3 really similar things in Primark...need to try them with stuff I already own and decide which ones to take back.

I'm now exhausted and in another world of pain due to dehydration. Someone bring me ice cream? Please??
