Crystal Dream Carnival GET!

This morning Crystal Dream Carnival finally arrived! I say finally but the only hold up was the headbow production, as everything arrived quickly after dispatch and without customs (woohoo!).

I filmed myself opening the pack HERE, but I thought I'd do a blog version too as it'll look much nicer!

I immediately realised that I made the right choice of main piece, as this one shows the print perfectly without overcrowding it and it is very flattering in my opinion.

The reverse scallops look amazing, and the gold star buttons are the perfect accents to the print without being over the top. The slight sweetheart neckline is perfect. The material behind the buttons is actually chiffon, which I wasn't expecting!

There are even little stars on the waist ties, and lots of little crystal drops on the points! And the lace has ponies on, as you would expect.

And the print is gorgeous, of course! There are so many details I didn't notice before, like the gold bracelets and crowns the pegasus wear. I didn't notice the little unicorns in the background before either. Adorable!

The chiffon-type train on the headbow is a little odd in my opinion, and will be difficult to make work with my flat hair, but I love that the star button and crystal drop details have been carried onto it.

I am so so glad I was able to get my first choice colour, as the print really pops on the navy. I hadn't realised how much I would love this piece until I received it. I wish I could wear it all the time!

And a quick outfit thrown on as I wanted to try it. It fits so well (I didn't even have to adjust the back lacing), and flatters the figure. I like the length too, as I like to show a bit of leg! I think the side bow suits me better than a regular centre bow as it works better without bangs. Apologied for the YRU platforms...but I love them to pieces too, and somehow like them with lolita as they balance out the big skirt! My blouse in this outfit is from Anna House.

I'm definitely thinking that this release coinciding with Sailor Moon Crystal can't be an accident...but maybe I'm just reading too much into it!

I can't express how much I love this series really! I hope to own the OP one day too as that was the cut I liked the most, but this piece is definitely more versatile. I'm so happy with my purchase! Now I just need an excuse to wear it =3

Small Lolita & Fairy-Kei Haul!

I have pretty much stopped buying lolita clothes as I don't really get many chances to dress up at the moment, and I have far too many clothes anyway. BUT when I saw one of my dream dresses at auction (one I'd narrowly missed buying in the Angelic Pretty sale) I couldn't resist buying it!

My gorgeous Moon Night Theater pleated JSK in wine!

The details are amazing, from the custom AP lace to the glittery golden thread and soft ribbons.

My only problems with it are that the pleats mess up easily (this dress already needs an iron after wearing it just once), and I also max it out as there is no shirring. So I guess I should cut down on the cakes.

To make my order with my shopping service seem more worthwhile, I bought a few other things too. Unfortunately I got scammed on one item (a cotton candy sweater from Milklim - gutted as I've always wanted one of those sweaters!).

A silly OTT furry jacket from Angelic Pretty! I have no idea what I'll wear it with, but the price was good and it's just so silly I couldn't not buy it. All the lace is detachable and amazing quality. I'd love to try a hime outfit with it, but that would require doing my hair and make-up properly xP

Swimmer shoes! I haven't tried them on yet, but they should be fine. I thought they'd be cute for fairy-kei style outfits.

And lastly, a long Milklim top. I wasn't majorly keen on it when I bought it, I just really wanted to own some Milklim as it's easily one of my favourite clothing brands. However upon seeing it in real life, I love it!

The colours and details are so cute. It's more shapeless than I'd thought it'd be though, but I'll have fun making some coords with it.

Not from Japan, but I figured I'd add these here anyway - a cute panda purse from New Look. It's pretty tiny and a bit crushed already, but pandas are so cute xP

And these were from Asda. The Hello Kitty pencil was 37p and the Monster High case was 75p! I was annoyed though as there was supposed to be a 75p MH notebook too, but they were sold out. And Asda had tons of cool stuff I wanted but couldn't buy as I was with mum (they had dollymix ponies (the G3 kind!), and Cupid).

I also have a few non-cutesy clothing purchases I'll share in a seperate post tomorrow =]

Lolita 30 ~ Day 17 ~ Lolita Want

Day 17 – What do you want more than anything right now?

Well, lolita-wise I want Chess Chocolate!

Yes, unsurprisingly my opinions have changed since I made my last post on it.

Thinking of trying for the skirt, but not sure. I want the green but I'd have nothing to match, whereas pink would be a safer option. I love the military style JSK but the lack of border print is a shame =[ The OP is ugly though. Sorry, it just is =P

Well I suppose the normal JSK or skirt in any colour other than the cream (which reminds me of sweetcorn) would be nice. But I think it's already all reserved up so I'll have a hard time getting anything.

And as for the parallels with Melty Chocolate and Antique Clock...it reminds me more of Starry Night Theater in an odd way. Anyone else have thoughts on that?

Lolita 30 ~ Day 14 ~ Lolita Dream

Day 14 – A picture of your dream item.

I already included my dream item in a previous post - Sugary Carnival!

I'm lucky enough to own this beauty of a print in black skirt and pink JSK, although my original dream was the JSK in either black or sax!

Since I posted the black colourway before, here it is in sax:

Lolita 30 ~ Day 5 ~ Lolita Wishlist

Going to focus on dream items that I don't currently own =] In no particular order.

Day 5 – 10 items from your wishlist.

1.

Angelic Pretty's Sugary Carnival! I have the skirt in black and JSK in pink, but I'd love the JSK in black and sax too! Total dream print.

2.

Metamrphose's Swan Lake high-waist skirt in black. This is the print that won me over. If I had never seen it I probably wouldn't have even started wearing lolita and I wouldn't have been as interested in it.

3.

Angelic Pretty's Holy Night Story switching JSK in green. It is pretty hard to get hold of so I had to settle for Offwhite which is still gorgeous, but I love this colour so much.

4.

Innocent World's Antique Book Bag. It wouldn't go with anything I own, but I adore it so.

5.

Vivienne Westwood Rocking Horse Shoes! Not sure which colour...either white or black. Probably black actually as I have white Montreal ones.

6.

Angelic Pretty's Milky Planet in sax (although I love it in yellow too). Because when it came out it was like the new Sugary Carnival haha.

7.

Angelic Pretty's Wonder Party in black. It's sweet, but more mature than most of the stuff I like!

8.

Baby, The Stars Shine Bright's L'Oiseau Bleu in mint. Because the colours are gorgeous.

9.

Alice And The Pirate's Kuro Neko No Dance JSK in bordeaux. I loved it the moment I saw it but can't fnd it anywhere! I love ths colour, I think it'd suit me too. The halter style is darling.

10.

Baby, The Stars Shine Bright's Royal Velveteen Antique JSK in royal green, because it's one of my favourite colours on one of my favourite fabrics and looks so elegant!
