Princesses & Villains Mini Haul

Finally, the long-awaited Disney Black Milk collection was released! It wasn't what I'd hoped at all, but naturally a whole bunch of pieces grew on me. Unfortunately, most of those pieces were super ninja limited, so I couldn't get my hands on many of the things that I wanted! I missed out on 4 pink things I wanted, a mermerald crop, and both PVC bodysuits...but I did manage to ninja 3 pieces on release day thankfully!

The release was a nightmare though. A bunch of things sold out in seconds, but sat forever on the US site that only US customers can use -_-

Once again I managed to skip customs, even though I accidentally sent it to my address instead of the bf's (I used to ALWAYS get hit for customs, even on packges barely over the limit!). I also finally got my first gold package!

Bits and bobs that came with my order. I'm being overrun with these stickers, I should find somewhere to use them all! I also decided I NEED all the lookbooks, which means ordering every big release night. Oh dear...


First up, the one I was least sure about but grabbed just because I could: The Wallpaper Lemon Crop that was $45. I'm not sure about yellow on me because I'm pale with slightly yellow-toned skin. The shape is so adorable though. If only they'd done a pink verion!


I also grabbed the Wallpaper Sky Blue Reversible Crop for $50. I kind of wish I'd grabbed the Wallpaper Princess Pink Leggings too since they were still in stock for a while, but I decided to wait for a restock on the Wallpaper Princess Pink Evil Zip Dress instead since I already have Merbarbies!


And my little bundle of joy haha.


I'm so incredibly glad I managed to nab a PVC Sky Blue Cheerleader Skirt, although I'm gutted I didn't score a pink one (blue suits me better though, so I'm glad I went for it first!) or either bodysuit. It was $70, and worth every penny. It's so noisy to wear, but it looks pretty amazing. I immediately ordered the PVC Skater Skirt after trying this on since it had restocked the same day, oops!


Rubbish photos, but everything grew on me when I tried it on. Still not sure about lemon though!


Loosely related, I bought these Logo Legs off BSS on a whim for £25 the other day. They're way comfier than my other leggings, and I had been considering them before they went museum, so I'm pretty glad I got them! They're a bit brandwhore-y though...

I'm actually at 49 instore BM purchases now, which means I'll get a voucher with my next order. Exciting!

BMO Scoop Skater Dress - $95 (£51.88)


I got this off Ebay from a girl I know for just under £45. It was a total impulse buy and I regretted it immediately as it's expensive for a random purchase and it was never a piece I particularly loved...but I love it now! The colour is great, and I saved quite a bit by buying second hand!


Barbie Spewed On me Cap Sleeve Bodysuit - ? Museum Piece


This was an even bigger impulse buy from Ebay, for £40 which was much higher than I had intended to bid! I was actually considering buying this a while back though, so it's nice to actually have it, even if it will be quite difficult to wear (it's pretty tight so bra shows through real bad haha). Should be great for summer though, if the weather ever picks up!

Must stop buying so much Black Milk...but I know that won't happen. I have 2 orders on the way!

Small Lolita & Fairy-Kei Haul!

I have pretty much stopped buying lolita clothes as I don't really get many chances to dress up at the moment, and I have far too many clothes anyway. BUT when I saw one of my dream dresses at auction (one I'd narrowly missed buying in the Angelic Pretty sale) I couldn't resist buying it!


My gorgeous Moon Night Theater pleated JSK in wine!



The details are amazing, from the custom AP lace to the glittery golden thread and soft ribbons.

My only problems with it are that the pleats mess up easily (this dress already needs an iron after wearing it just once), and I also max it out as there is no shirring. So I guess I should cut down on the cakes.

To make my order with my shopping service seem more worthwhile, I bought a few other things too. Unfortunately I got scammed on one item (a cotton candy sweater from Milklim - gutted as I've always wanted one of those sweaters!).


A silly OTT furry jacket from Angelic Pretty! I have no idea what I'll wear it with, but the price was good and it's just so silly I couldn't not buy it. All the lace is detachable and amazing quality. I'd love to try a hime outfit with it, but that would require doing my hair and make-up properly xP


Swimmer shoes! I haven't tried them on yet, but they should be fine. I thought they'd be cute for fairy-kei style outfits.


And lastly, a long Milklim top. I wasn't majorly keen on it when I bought it, I just really wanted to own some Milklim as it's easily one of my favourite clothing brands. However upon seeing it in real life, I love it!


The colours and details are so cute. It's more shapeless than I'd thought it'd be though, but I'll have fun making some coords with it.


Not from Japan, but I figured I'd add these here anyway - a cute panda purse from New Look. It's pretty tiny and a bit crushed already, but pandas are so cute xP


And these were from Asda. The Hello Kitty pencil was 37p and the Monster High case was 75p! I was annoyed though as there was supposed to be a 75p MH notebook too, but they were sold out. And Asda had tons of cool stuff I wanted but couldn't buy as I was with mum (they had dollymix ponies (the G3 kind!), and Cupid).

The breaking of the ban was the making of the man

I was supposed to stop buying clothes because I have no room for any more stuff but can't seem to part with anything. But sometimes you just can't help yourself, am I right?

After trying on all those things in New Look the other day, I thought I'd browse their website. Turns out a sale just started, and there were a few bits I couldn't resist getting!

I ordered Friday night and just picked my order up this afternoon.


Let there be colour!


These jeans were the main reason for my order. I already have a pair of lilac jeans, but I love acidwash and they were only £12! Unfortunately they are really small at the waist, but I doubt they have any left now for me to exchange them. I can wear them, I just get an unfortunate muffin-top enhancement that I could do without. A bigger size would be huge on the legs though as they're pretty loose - I was expecting super-skinny since they looked it in the picture (and it's not like I have twiggy legs)! They could also do with being taken up. And they smell BAD. To be honest, most of the clothes I got have an odd smell.


Since lilac is my favourite colour, I thought I might as well get this cropped jumper since it was only £4!


I wasn't sure about getting this as it looked so huge and unflattering on the model and was still £5, but Rob said I should get it and I think the print is gorgeous. I haven't tried it yet though, if it's terrible I'll either return it or keep it for if I can get a denim jacket (I'll stitch the alicorn/unipeg to the back of the jacket).


I don't really have any bracelets, and I think this will work well with most of my wardrobe. I feel kinda bad for buying though as it was £4! But I don't think I could find one cheaper unless I go to Primark (which would cost me £5 for the bus anyway).


And this dip-dye tee. Obviously it isn't for me as it's biiiiig haha. I showed it to Rob all like 'YOU HAVE TO GET THIS IT'S AWESOME' and he said 'okay' =P

I also went into New Look on Saturday with my friends. I decided I wanted to buy that dip-dye cardigan that I had tried on before (it was sold out online) so I went to look for it...but it wasn't there! But then when we went towards the sale racks and something mint caught my eye. I ended up screeching and running over to it while flailing my arms. I don't even regret it!


My buys!


DAT CARDIGAN. It was still £14, but since I'd been considering it at £22 I don't regret it...although chances are it'll be reduced further. I ended up buying the size bigger than the one I tried on since I'm gaining weight Dx


And a baggy vest top for £2. I needed tops like this, and this is actually the only plain lilac top I have! I'll use it loads over Summer.

Obviously now I have to try hard to not spend again, which means pushing back my Bodyline order yet again (I still need to buy that seifuku in a bigger size) and that I still can't afford one of those Sailor Moon necklaces by Kuma Crafts =[ Boo! But at least I haven't been buying lots of things from eBay! There are still a few bits I want to get though, dip-dye shorts being top of the list. They are quite expensive though, the cheapest were £20 in New Look...I might have to try them anyway though! It's either that or make my own (obviously they'd be pink and lilac!). We'll see.

Window Shopping!

Today I had to go out to buy groceries anyway and the weather was actually okay (between bursts of rain), so I thought I'd wander around town to make up for staying in for days. I'd gone with the intention of buying a pony or Monster High doll, but there weren't any in either of the shops that sell them TAT

Instead, I thought I'd try on lots of clothes! Which was a pretty silly idea because I'm on a shopping ban and I've actually been keeping to it this time. But it's fun to try on things that you normally wouldn't consider.

I tried on a few things from the kid's section in H&M.


This skirt was so cute and only £6, but it looks lumpy and odd on. I think I might buy it if I get to go on holiday this summer though! I haven't added worn photos of the shorts as they gave bad muffin tops, which is annoying as I really need some black ones. They are the same as my pink ones so I *could* stretch them out, but they'd still be too muffin-y and I have lots of cropped and tight-fitting tops for Summer, so not ideal. I think I'll try the adult black shorts next time, as although the material was rough and not nice they were only £8 and they should fit better.

The other store I went into (twice, actually) was New Look.


They're my favourite by far at the moment with all their adorable pastels and stripes!


I love this top from the children's section, so Summery and a cute colour! I felt like my belly was too podgy for it though.




This dress is amaaaaazing! The lady in the changing rooms pounced on it when I was handing it to her, she wanted to know why I wasn't buying it xP I do love it, but it's £28 and I'm not sure it looks right on me due to my height. But if it's ever in the sale I'll have to snap it up. It looks more odd in the photos than in real life because of the camera angle.


Pastel dip-dye *drools* This cardigan reminds me of watermelons! At £22 it was too expensive though as the material was thin and not very soft. But another to wait for in the sale, definitely.


I never thought I'd be able to get away with wearing a skirt like this as it's quite long, but I was pleasantly surprised! The only thing stopping me from buying it is the fact that it isn't lined, which makes it quite see-through due to the floaty and light material. So I'd have to buy a slip on top of the £22 for the skirt. But once again, if it's in the sale...


Last two items I tried together! The skirt fits terribly as it's too small on my hips and too long, but I think I prefer the striped shorts anyway (which I would have bought before but shopping ban and I own so many pairs of shorts). The top though...it's not my usual thing at all as it barely covers anything, but I thought it looked cool. It was also cheap enough for me to allow myself to buy it (£13). I'm not 100% sure about keeping it as I don't know what I could wear it with and I know I'll get honked at and abuse shouted at me when wearing it, but ♥


So my window shopping was a bit of a fail, but it could have been worse! I spent almost as much in Sainsbury's on boring things like margarine and toilet roll afterwards haha.

Pastels

So this Spring it seems that pastels are in!

Gorgeous pastels from Meadham Kirchhoff.

I have rather mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, yay lots of things I actually want in regular stores, meaning I get to buy things at reasonable prices instead of having to buy expensive Japanese brands! On the other hand, eek too much temptation, fiercer competition on eBay, and all the jerks who made fun of me for wearing pastels are now also wearing pastels because they're mindless fools who'll gobble up any old crap they're told is cool. The same goes for the bright jeans that seem to be everywhere now...how many people told me my jeans were a crime against fashion in secondary school?!!

I'm finding it mainly a good thing though, as I can stock up on cute clothes that I'll continue to wear after pastels are no longer cool! This is great as it means I can branch out more into fairy-kei-esque styles. I don't think I'll ever go the whole way to fairy-kei, but I'm happy with where I am style-wise at the moment.


Now I'll share some of my recent pastel buys!!

New Look in particular has been a gold mine. It's one of the more reasonably priced stores on the high street and they do a 10% student discount (with occasional 20% off events for students!), though this does mean that EVERYONE has New Look clothes! I already shared my pastel cardigans, but here are my other New Look buys:

Baggy mint tie-up tee, lilac panda-print top, pastel stripe denim vest.

Pastel leggings in mint and lilac (not normal legging material, but thicker and...odd!), lilac tube skirt, mint shorts (almost didn't buy as they're hotpants, but bought a size up so they aren't as figure-hugging!).

I'm also tempted to get these jeans since they're so cool!


Trying to make do with the leggings and shorts for now though. The Glitterhell Caim top is also new, I ordered it in the Valentine's promotion!

I have also been stocking up on vintage jumpers from eBay. They're very hit and miss, some being massively oversized (the first one is down to my knees) and others having short sleeves!
