Splurging on BLACK

Been feeling really low again recently, which means more impromptu shopping sprees. Ugh, I'm useless! I wish internet shopping wasn't a thing, it's so easy to get sucked in!


I also did a little shopping after getting my tattoo, which obviously means changing-room outfit selfies! I think my Death By Disco Straps Skater Dress is one of my favourites, so easy to wear! And coordinates with my bloody tattoo!


Here is my little Primark haul. I accidentally tried on the sheer shiny top in a 6 (I thought it was an S) & it wasn't super tiny, so I risked an 8. Yet to try it on yet though! The cardigan is so soft, and the other things are beachwear that I intend on just wearing. Could have done with a smaller size for those, but they were out of stock (I swear Primark sizing has gotten bigger).


This is an early birthday present from mum which I had to buy myself, a cheapie rose perfume from M&S. It was discounted for Valentine's Day too, so it was only £4.80 for 30ml. Had I realised this beforehand I'd have gotten the 100ml. It smells yummy, but the bottle is super boring.


When I got home after going over Rob's house, I found my first surprise gift from a fellow Sharkie - some yummy tea and a Finn plush, aahhhh! ♥


My New Look order arrived a few days ago too. I ordered the bralet in 2 sizes, and predictably the 10 fits more comfortably but has super saggy cups so I'm keeping the 8 and hoping I can shift some flab from my ribs. The strap detailing on both sides is so awesome though, and I love that my piercings peek through the lace! The rings & tights were sales cheapies, hoping to accessorise more this year as I'm rubbish!


Next is my Urban Outfitters order. Sadly I will be returning this bralet too. I ordered an M and again the cups are too big, even though the rest fits nicely. I guess I could wear a super padded bra under it, but I am a C/D cup? The stock photo it is being worn as actual bra? Wtf? Like I know I look flat but still. It looks cheaper than I'd hoped anyway though. But I should get good use from the tattoo choker as I wear my plain one all the time, and I couldn't resist naughty socks. I want to wear them to work a lot!


Asos order is up next (they sent me the right stuff this time!). I only realised when it arrived that the Primark beach dress I bought is almost exactly the same as this Asos one! The Asos one is nicer but is way too oversized, so I will be exchanging it. The fishnet thing is ankle socks, I thought they were quirky, and one can never have too many thigh-highs (how have I lived without striped ones?). The Religion kimono is something I'd been eyeing up for a long time, and I made this order as a panic buy as only size M was left (now sold out completely)! It was pretty expensive but massively reduced, and my grandparents are claiming it as birthday present so pretty win-win there. Not sure how I'll wear it, but I've wanted a kimono for ages and those praying skeletons are just awesome.

I think I've found my style finally though, and that style is all black everything. Kind of bordering on the 'health goth' bullcrap which is worrying, but eh whatever.

Now to wait impatiently for my Dollskill order!

1,000,000 Valentines

There were a few small ammos on January 6th, so obviously I made a few small orders!


A bunch of old prints were brought back for the 1 Million Followers ammo, but the only thing I bought was the Plum Bath 2.0 Vs Zombie Nation Inside Out Skater Skirt. While I liked the prints a lot more in person than in stock photos, I'm really disappointed with this one. While it is cut the exact same size as regular skater skirts it's way less stretchy, and the tag actually started tearing off when I tried it on. The band is probably too tight on my waist to wear too (despite S size usually coming up a tad loose on me). Boo! At least I know to not bother with them in future.


Secondly there was the Valentines Ammo! The only item I got from this release was the PVC Red Cheerleader Skirt, which I will probably literally only wear once on Valentine's Day...but couldn't resist it anyway! I know Rob will like it haha. Also picked up the Painting The Roses Red Nana Suit Top since someone pointed out they'd look fab together. They weren't wrong!

A few days later I caved and ordered Wet Look Pocjet Leggings since my regular ones (in the wrong size) had arrived and I loved them too much to not get pocket ones. I mean, they're a staple piece, right?

With the next release a week away and 20% off vouchers currently, I may have been naughty and bought $800 of vouchers. Such a saving though...right?

More Wonder Queen!

I fell in love with this series as soon as I saw it, so I knew I had to own it!


I was actually drawn towards the bustier version as I loved the trim on the skirt, but the release was messed up and they were released late and in very small quantities!


I missed the first release of the military JSKs on the 28th of December, but managed to catch a restock that morning by chance. I had wanted navy, but I only saw green so I just grabbed it! I couldn't decide between headbow and bonnet and didn't really have time to think, so I just grabbed both. This was before the special set was announced, as I'm not sure I'd have bought both on purpose (although I probably would have haha).


I received my order on the 16th of January.


The items! The JSK cost ¥27,090 (roughly £160), the headbow was ¥3,360 (around £20), and the bonnet was ¥8,295 (just under £50). Shipping was ¥3,989 (£23), and customs was £63.20, which stung but could have been worse.


The military JSK. I wasn't too sure about this design due to the panels on the sides, but it has definitely grown on me. I was kinda annoyed to see that the plain fabrics are in fact navy though (but darker than for the navy colourway), as this will make the piece more difficult to coord. This means it's probably a good thing I got this version though, as it would look odd with the top fully navy and bottom fully green. You can't tell this from the photos on the site and nowhere is this mentioned, so I was a bit bummed out until it sunk in!


The print is so gorgeous with the gold in it, and I hope I can bring out the red! I'm a little sad that the base colour isn't a bit lighter and more 'green' though as it looks black in some lights.


Trying to show the colour difference. I love the military details, especially on the shoulders as I missed them in the stock photos. I have a feeling my hair will catch on the buttons though! The bows are detachable, and there is one pocket underneath the right panel.


The headbow is pretty small for Angelic Pretty, and a bit of an odd shape. However it has wires in it, so it should be fixable! There is a little gold heart charm.


The bonnet. I kinda regret buying this now as it's ridiculously huge and I don't have any flowers or anything to wear in the front to make it look less silly. I'll try my best with it though! The gold cord, lace, and subtle pearls are all nice touches.


And lastly, the novelty pack of playing cards! I'm a little tempted to use them to make a headpiece, but I don't think I can bring myself to. Overall I really love this series and the pieces I bought as they have so many rich colours and details, and should be slightly more wearable than most of my (super-sweet) wardrobe. I'd still like to get my hands on the salopette, unless I'm able to find Toy March!

AP Fukubukuro 5: Wonder Queen

Last lucky pack for this Winter! Wonder Queen! This series seems reasonably popular and it seems like this pack was a mare for people to get hold of. Luckily my SS was first in line at her shopping centre and was able to run down to the store and snag me one! I hadn't meant to buy it...but I couldn't resist the price.


The pack cost ¥17,873 once commission, shipping, and paypal fees were included, which is around £105 total.


This set only has a JSK and barette, but it's still a bargain when you consider that the series JSKs cost almost ¥15,000 more!


The bag for this one has a lavender print!


I wasn't too keen on the colour at first as it's kinda like the colour of dried blood, but it has grown on me a lot as it seems to suit me quite well!


The border print I'm not as keen on as I had thought as it just seems to be missing something, but I love the banner-like details on the rest of the dress and all the gold accents.


The bodice has cute gold details. The back is fully shirred but it's quite tight and there is no zip, which means I wouldn't recommend it for bigger lolitas. I was worried about the shirring making it big and lumpy, but it actually fits me really well! I also love the length, and think it would be fine without a petticoat as a casual dress (especially if worn in mori-style). There are 2 pockets.


The barrette is cute, but I wish it had been a headbow instead as they're just easier to wear! Hopefully my Musée du Chocolate headpieces will match well enough to wear with it though.

Again, I am very happy with my purchase! I just hope I start getting opportunities to wear these gorgeous clothes.

Falling Down the Rabbit Hole: Wonder Story

The last few days have been very stressful!

The parcel disappeared off tracking twice, and then it claimed to have been delivered on Thursday and it wasn't here when I got back. Cue panic. Thankfully it turns out that Parcelforce left it with my neighbour. I only found this out however by looking at Parcelforce tracking (I'd been using the USPS link Angelic Pretty gave me) and noting that there was an unmarked cell which had a 4 in it. My house is number 5, so I just had to figure it out for myself. They didn't bother leaving me a note or anything, so I'm still pretty annoyed at Parcelforce!

Anywho, on to the interesting bit!


Once again, packaged nicely. And this time I have a big Angelic Pretty bag containing the order details! It was just a small sleeve bag last time.


My items! Getting excited at this point.


The apron skirt! I was worried that I didn't like this colourway as much as the blue and black, but I remember why I picked this one now...it's stunning!


Adorable card suit buttons! I love the velveteen ribbon...I wish they'd included more velveteen on this piece.


Print and lace details. I didn't even realise that it was an Alice In Wonderland print until I looked again. 'Eat Me' cakes, bunnies, pocket watches, books and cups of tea...so adorable! There are also beautiful keys, so I'm going to search really hard for a matching necklace as I've always wanted a key necklace anyway (so I could pretend it was one to the secret garden ^_^'). Also I think the rose petal in the tea looks like a little birdie!


I don't think these are the proper matching socks, but they're cute and go really well anyway!


I find it odd that the bow doesn't have white lace like the rest of the dress does, but I love the new placing of the label! As it's a little more understated, it means I should be able to wear it with other red items once I can acquire them.

Once again the USA website was easy to use. I was really lucky, the items I bought all disappeared from the site the second I placed my order! However customs were a nightmare and are unavoidable when using this webstore (buying from Japan often works out cheaper as shopping services may mark the items down...but after that lost item scare I'd be unsure of doing it!). The total cost was just over £300, which is pretty steep. But the items are gorgeous and the apron being detachable means it can be worn in a few ways so I think it was worth it.

The only trouble is, I want the matching bag which would be another £80 + shipping + customs. I've always wanted a book bag though, and I have items waiting to be shipped from Japan anyway so I could ship it with that stuff. However, I can't decide between blue and pink! The blue is cuter and matches the dress better, but I have a lot more use for a pink one as I have pink shoes etc to coord with it. However, the pink on the print is much darker than on the bag. Such a tough decision!

I'm so happy with my purchase! Did anyone else buy anything from this series?
