Harry Potter Studios

On Tuesday 1st of September, it was time to return to Hogwarts!


I ended up leaving a little later than I had planned as mum decided to give me chores just as I was leaving! After dropped my bag off at my hostel on Edgware Road, I headed to Watford Junction to meet some sharkies!


We headed to Tinseltown for lunch, and I had the BEST MILKSHAKE EVER. It was super expensive but chocolate brownies are sooo yummm. My burger wasn't great, but the fries and dips were!


We met more sharkies outside the Harry Potter Studios!


I took way too many photos in there, but everything was so awesome!


It's amazing how many oil paintings were made!


Umbridge's office was my favourite part. So much pink! And kittens! It was someone's job to film kittens playing to put on the plates!

We ended up spending about 4 hours at the studios in total, which was much longer than I was expecting. I'd love to again, hopefully when I have more money to spend in the shop as there were so many awesome things!


I just ended up getting these after trying to talk myself out of the scarf. I really shouldn't have bought it, it was almost £30...


The bottom bunk was really hard to get into when I got back, but I fell asleep pretty quickly!


Ended up leaving the hostel early as had to be out by 10 anyway. Sat in Hyde Park for barely 5 minutes before a guy started talking to me and sat by me and wouldn't go away. So I shared the spliff he offered me and then ran away afterwards and wigged out in Paddington Green for a bit before meeting the others at Marylebone haha oh god I cannot adult.

Instead of going to the museum for the bigger sharkie meet, I chose to stay out shopping. But soon left to spend a few hours back at The Green Man reading because I was too tired to do much else.

So exhausted now, feel super ill. Had such a good time though! I think I may have to recover for a bit before I write up my posts about Reading as it seems a bit overwhelming right now.

Disney 2.0 & Holidaze

The much anticipated Disney 2.0 collection was finally released on April 7th, along with a designer collection counterpart called Holidaze. Unsurpisingly, I dove right in.


As usual, the IOD was the first port of call. This time, it's an Ariel Vs Ursula IOD. The Little Mermaid was always one of my favourite video tapes growing up, but I initially felt the IOD was too bright and wasn't impressed. But I love it a lot more in person! I can't see myself wearing the Ariel side much though as even the Ursula side is a bit colourful for me. Also finally bought the Bone Machine Pocket Tee from the last release. I still feel like £30 is too much for a shirt, but I wear black shirts all the time so I figured it should be worth it! And I accidentally bought the Bone Machine 2.0 Dress from Ebay recently, so yay for matching! That said I don't like the fit of the shirt really, it's not long enough to be oversized but would never work as a regular shirt on a women. It's a mens shirt, really.


I went a bit mad on my second order. The original intention was to just buy the IOD and a crop and save for the rest as none of the limited things appealed to me much. But I ended up buying everything in one go! Mermaid Midnight Cap Sleeve Crop is a safe investment though as I live in black crops. As much as I love the matching leggings, I'm waiting to see what the Mermay Ammo brings before committing! Next were the Bambi Leggings and Bambi Reversible Crop. I tried to resist both as I don't look good in leggings or rev crops, but I love the colours on these pieces far too much. I also got a gift for Sophie for her birthday (which arrived late), and now I need to buy it for myself as well haha.


Sadly my muffin top is too big to wear the set together like this...need to tone up again!

At least the new changes to BM means there won't be any big releases for a little while now since my bank account rather needs to recover...providing the small amounts of new things uploaded each week don't prove too tempting (which they probably will). And there's a sale tonight so I'll be grabbing as much I can...oh well!

1,000,000 Valentines

There were a few small ammos on January 6th, so obviously I made a few small orders!


A bunch of old prints were brought back for the 1 Million Followers ammo, but the only thing I bought was the Plum Bath 2.0 Vs Zombie Nation Inside Out Skater Skirt. While I liked the prints a lot more in person than in stock photos, I'm really disappointed with this one. While it is cut the exact same size as regular skater skirts it's way less stretchy, and the tag actually started tearing off when I tried it on. The band is probably too tight on my waist to wear too (despite S size usually coming up a tad loose on me). Boo! At least I know to not bother with them in future.


Secondly there was the Valentines Ammo! The only item I got from this release was the PVC Red Cheerleader Skirt, which I will probably literally only wear once on Valentine's Day...but couldn't resist it anyway! I know Rob will like it haha. Also picked up the Painting The Roses Red Nana Suit Top since someone pointed out they'd look fab together. They weren't wrong!

A few days later I caved and ordered Wet Look Pocjet Leggings since my regular ones (in the wrong size) had arrived and I loved them too much to not get pocket ones. I mean, they're a staple piece, right?

With the next release a week away and 20% off vouchers currently, I may have been naughty and bought $800 of vouchers. Such a saving though...right?

Black Milk Museum Release, etc

On the 16th of December there was a Museum Release on Black Milk. Obviously I couldn't resist making a few purchases.


First on my hitlist were the PVC pink items from the Princesses & Villains collection. I failed at getting the skirt, but nabbed the Sweetheart Princess Pink Bodysuit.


I should have sized down as it won't stay up as I have no boobies! Need to figure out what tops I can wear under it to make it less dangerous.


On the second round I completed my velvet skirt mini-collection with the Velvet Deep Blue Skater Skirt, and threw in some Spidies Hosiery to make it worth handling fees if I had got hit by customs (plus you can never have too many tights!).


After lots and lots of refreshing, I managed to catch an Arabella Noir Dress randomly pop back into stock. I ought to have gotten a smaller size, and I'm not sure what to wear it with or if I even like it on me. But I'd been eyeing it since it was originally released in the Battle of Kings collection, and they seem pretty popular, so no regrets.


After a couple days of thinking on it, I went back for the Bloody Mary Wifey Top, and also threw in the Wonderland Wifey Skirt as it happened to be in stock at the time. Fleecy goodness! The skirt is hella tight, but I guess that adds to cosiness?

I also got a few more pieces on Ebay!


Completed my Ravenclaw mini-collection from Ebay with the Ravenclaw House Swimsuit. Unfortunately the seller cut the tags out and cut a small hole in the seam, but she was lovely about it and refunded a small amount. Now I just have to fix it up before I can wear it, but I have until the Summer to do that!


I finally got my hands on Black Ribs Swim on Ebay. It was one of the first pieces I ever wanted, so I snapped it up at a good price even though it isn't my size. At an XS LT, it's workable though. Although it's as long as my body before I even put it on haha #shortpeopleproblems


And lastly, The Holey Leggings hosiery, since I buy all the hosiery I can. Turns out they are actual leggings, but ah well!


I lied, also my belated Christmas present from Rob - the Matte Pink Zip Suit.

There weren't too many piece in the 3 January Ammos that I wanted, so hopefully I can save some money soon!

Crackmilk strikes again!

My other Disney order finally arrived yesterday, and I also picked up these 2 other orders from my bf's over the past couple of weeks. Exciting!


Beauty and the Beast has always been my favourite Disney Princess movie, so I had to have something of this print! The bodycon looked way better but I'd never wear it, so I plumped for the Tale As Old As Time Skater Dress for $95. The print really is stunning in person!


I also figured I'd risk trying a play dress since I'd not worn this cut before. Also the print is so glittery-looking, and it's one of the most memorable Disney scenes ever! It's the Cinderella Play Dress, also $95. I'm not sure about it on me at all as it bunches a lot at the back, feels tight under the arms and across the chest, and shows my awkward little belly button piercing! Hoping it will grow on me since I already ordered another one from the new collection before this one arrived orz


When I saw that the PVC Skater Skirt was going to restock, I had to grab one. I'd literally just got the blue PVC cheerleader so I snapped this up for $60 as PVC feels great to wear! Skater shape isn't as cute as cheerleader, but black is a lot more wearable.


I'd also been waiting for a few more staples to restock, including this Matte Pinafore Pocket Skater Skirt for $75. Skirts with pockets are the best, plus the suspenders mean even heavy stuff won't drag my skirt down. YES!


Matte Bummers are another staple, and a steal at $30. I think they'll be great for under dresses as they're less bulky than the shorts I generally use. They're also longer on than I had expected, making them wearable as shorts too.


I grabbed Spider Eyes Hosiery too for $25. I'm not sure about them still, but they went limited and I panicked haha. They're like a funky version of fishnets!

Lastly, I picked up some Leg Bone Leggings on Ebay for £23.20. I feel like they're a must-have BM piece, and perfect for upcoming Halloween! I feel lucky to have got them for such a good price, especially as they're in perfect condition.

Now that Winter is coming, I'm waiting on some of the fleece-lined pieces! And a few naughty impulse buys from The Jungle Look...ehehe.

Lolita Blog Carnival: Disney Coordinates

It's that time of the week again...Lolita Blog Carnival! This week we're looking at all things DISNEY. If you don't love Disney, you're lying.


I'm choosing to focus on Minnie Mouse, because I don't have energy for this and it's an easy one to pick as there are already so many great coords!


Angelic Pretty dresses lend themselves well to Minnie Mouse coords. Fantasic Dolly is one that springs to mind.


Dot Midnight Doll would be a cute one too!


A good excuse to wear animal ears with lolita! I even saw ones like this for about £3 at H&M recently.


And chunky yellow shoes would finish off the look! Antaina has a bunch of character accurate ones, but I'm rather taken with these Vivienne Westwood Melissa ones.
