Christmas Meet

Way back on the 6th of December our comm had our Christmas meet. Well, two meets actually! I had to work from 06:30 to 11:30 in the morning, so I didn't have a lot of time to get ready and ended up retying my hair on the bus without brushing it...

Obligatory bus and music shot to begin. I finally got to wear my Holy Night Story set in green, along with the coat that Antonia gave me back in the Summer. I could only do up one button, but I count that as a success!

Part one of the meet was at Cox & Baloney for a fancy afternoon tea.

I actually enjoyed eating brie for the first time ever as I'd never had it with jam before!

Such a lady, haha.

Perhaps the strawberries and cream flavoured tea blend was going to our heads.

Afterwards was karaoke! I tried my hand at scoring Celestial or Sugar Dream Dome since it was released during the meet, but 3D on an iPhone 4 was woefully inadequate.

Lots of singing happened though, and I kicked frilly butt at the quiz again!

Since Sophie stayed at mine we headed back into town after I had finished work in the morning for a late lunch in Giraffe.

I had nachos. Boring, but I loooove nachos.

Somehow I ended up just taking derpy photos and photos of food again, huh.

Afternoon Tea

It was Monika's birthday on Saturday, and I thankfully managed to get the time off from work to attend her birthday party!

We attended the Hotel du Vin in Bristol for an afternoon tea party.

The venue was tucked away so I had never even noticed it before despite walking past it many times. There were lots of odd horse photos, but was a lovely fancy yet rustic venue. We had the whole first floor to ourselves with a huge wooden table on one side and lots of little sofas on the other. Very cosy!

I finally got to wear Juliette et Justine's La Bibliothèque, along with the Grimoire tights I won at Revelry. People kept mistaking the tights for tattoos though, somehow. Terrible photo though!

The afternoon tea consisted of a trio of cute little sandwiches, a plain scone with jam and clotted cream, a walnut brownie, and a strawberry-topped cake each. And lots of tea, of course!

We had to ask for different sandwiches as the original ones weren't all veggie (egg mayo, salmon, ham), so I ended up with cucumber, cheese and pickle, and egg mayo. Yum!

CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

I really should have taken more photos as it was a lot of fun! I also got to meet some great new people which is always good. I didn't get photos of others... ...I only took a video.

Afterwards we went to the pub for nachos and a pint.

Lastly, a photo of the card I made for Monika featuring my take on Innocent World's Lotta.

I really want to get more painting practise in as I'm really no good at it yet! But the only way is up.

Revelry Tea Party

I finally got to attend a big tea party! I was pretty excited about it since I hadn't been able to justify the extra costs in previous years.

I ended up waking up pretty early and most of the others stayed in bed late, so I had my yummy breakfast in the garden before getting ready!

I wasn't all that happy with my coord, but since Ruth and Monika were wearing Wonder Queen too I figured I'd throw something together. Bonnet, wristcuffs, & JSK are Angelic Pretty, headband is Wonder Box (that I only bought the day before!), blouse is my mum's from Tesco via a charity shop (all the class), socks are Primark, shoes are Bodyline, necklace Metamorphose, and rings from Patisserie Pink and Drop Dead.

The event was held at The RAG Army & Navy Club at Pall Mall, and it must have been the fanciest place I've ever been! The ceilings were stunning, there were beautiful paintings everywhere, and there was even a stuffed penguin!

There was a small-ish buffet and endless cups of tea, with us seated 8-10 around circular tables. It was quite cosy with all of our petticoats, but it was easy enough to chat to everyone and get more food! I ate far too many sweets though.

There were little postcards, magnets, and a badge for each person on the tables. There was also another raffle, in which I won the Swimmer stickers and some gorgeous Grimoire tights! I feel so lucky. Each of the guests also chose their favourite outfit of the day, and Lisa managed to catch someone's attention so we all cheered like fools for her!

After the tea party was over, we took lots of photos in the drawing room. This was our Frilly Flat group photo ♥

There was an afterparty too, so I changed into some Black Milk, Angelic Pretty tights, and NikeXHello Kitty sneakers for comfort.

The venue was the Roadhouse in Covent Garden, an American diner styled place with good cocktail deals early in the evening! There was a live band called White Clouds & Gunfire while we were there, and they were really good.

Sadly the music choice in the club wasn't all that good. I thought it was a rock club, but it was all Stereophonics type stuff and they didn't even have any Biffy Clyro. For shame!

We didn't stay too late which was a shame, but it was probably a good move since we had to finish packing and leave early the next day. I already miss London a ton, and hope I can afford to live there some day with some friends!

Cakes, Cats, Clubs!

Last weekend I went with a bunch of friends to stay in Kyra's parent's house for the weekend! I stupidly didn't take many photos, so I put off writing this post for ages as it meant having to trawl Facebook for photos to pad out the post haha.

I met Bexy at the train station, and we met Sophie on the train! I wore Bodyline's Fruits Parlor as I'd been intending to wear it all day, but in the end I took it off before we went out (it's soooo tight!).

Once we were all at the house (and after playing with the cats), we had a delicious lunch and yummy rose tea!

In the evening we went to Southampton and went in a few pubs!

Bunch of us before we left.

SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS!

STER WERS THERM PERRRB. I had an Emperor cocktail and it was gooood.

Outside the Dungeon! It was a pretty awesome club, I really want to go again. It was like Discord only with slightly better music and much better layout. I'm in love with Loulou's rainbow hair <3

Sadly the next day we had to leave! But not before having a delicious breakfast in the local Asda. And of course taking a photo of the cute kittens!

The journey home felt so long as I just wanted to get home, eat and sleep! But thankfully I had great compant and a deilicious Hello Kitty cupcake =3

Looking forward to seeing my frilly friends again soon, although I have a feeling I won't see most of them until the J et J meet in September!

Sorry about the lazy post, really haven't been in the mood for writing lately but I need to get everything up before I go off to Reading festival next Wednesday! I could not be less prepared Dx
