FromJapan & Buyee Gets

I made a shopping preorder way back in August, so when that finally came in I couldn't resist making a couple auction purchases...oops!


I couldn't not buy this Clow Book pouch from SuperGroupies for ￥4,519.


Even the inside is super cute, and one of the zip pulls is the Clow key! I have no idea what I'll use it for though...


I fell in love with Angelic Pretty's Loyal Rosette after seeing it in person, so I scooped up this special set for ￥25,410. A little over retail, but not too bad. I'm still keeping an eye out for the regular JSK though as it's a cuter military style than this one.


I also stumbled across this Baby, The Stars Shine Bright Dessert OP (2008 version) for ￥4,515. I've wanted this ever since wearing Monika's off-white version on her birthday last year. I got it for such a good price, and black is easiest to wear ♥


I also tried out Buyee for the first time. It's a service which allows you to bid on Yahoo auctions yourself. Unfortunately it doesn't allow you to mark down value, resulting in me paying around £50 in customs on my ￥30,000ish dress. So I won't be doing it again! But yeah I finally got the Angelic Pretty Sugary Carnival JSK in black. Took me long enough, and I've made worse impulse buys =P I mean, this dress has been my Tumblr icon since I got Tumblr some 4 or 5 years ago, so I regret nothing.

Fingers crossed I either buy nothing on impulse in the Angelic Pretty sale later, or that if I do everything is cheap!

Lolita Blog Carnival: Your Lolita Halloween Style

Our Halloween meet isn't until November, but I haven't participated in the Lolita Blog Carnival for a while now and I figure this gives me a chance to start thinking about my outfit for it!


I have only one Halloween-specific lolita piece, and that is Baby, The Stars Shine Bright's Halloween Alice from 2007. It's a dress I've had for a good few years, and it was one of my dream pieces when I bought it. While not too wearable, I doubt I'll ever sell it as the cut is so unusual.


This is a coordinate I made using this dress from way back in 2011. Since the meet will involve a ghost walk, I imagine I will coord it in a more practical manner this year. But we'll have to wait and see!

What kinds of themes do you like to bring into lolita at Halloween? I'm really not adventurous with it at all!

Ugh sorry guys, been working like crazy and don't have the energy to finish a bunch of posts I have started (again). So for now a lazy 'stuff I got recently' post!

Firstly, better photos of stuff I got from Antonia! I didn't get photos of posters or stationery though.


I got this Baby, The Stars Shine Bright JSK for £45. I said I wanted a tartan JSK like this, so it was a great buy! Sadly it doesn't have waist ties, but it actually fits pretty well without any anyway.


This Innocent World blouse was a freebie as it's discoloured, but I'm hoping to scrub the worst of it out! Also missing waist ties, but I never understood why blouses needed them when they'll always be tucked into something anyway.


A suuuuuper adorable vintage Laura Ashley dress that was also a freebie. I love this! The fabric is actually subtly patterned, and it fits like a glove. I think I'll get it taken up though as it still drags on the floor several inches when I stand on tip-toes!


Last freebie, a lolita coat. It has a missing button, but also a cute ruffle-butt and I didn't actually have a lolita coat until now!


The rest of this stuff was a lot for £5, starting off with this amazing handmade mermaid tiara!


Red velvet will match so many of my things, and I was needing more sensible headbows.


Who doesn't love spikes?


I was talked into these chocolate socks since I was wearing a chocolate outfit at the time and well, they'd make my outfit suited to winter...


And BTSSB OTKs just because they needed to go and no one else wanted them. How could I say no?

Next, some little Ebay gets!


My old purse was really worn out, so I got a cat purse for 99p!


...and another as I couldn't decide =P they're actually super soft on the back and lined really nicely!


I also bought this Black Milk Amethyst vs Aurora Skye Inside Out Dress from Kath via Ebay. I paid a whopping £150, but I NEED all the IODs!


Next, the rest of my Battle of the Kings order finally! I got hit with customs this time, booo. Tartan Red Nana Suit Top, Tartan Red Nana Suit Bottom, Snake Pit Nana Suit Top, and Snake Pit Nana Suit Bottom. I literally only bought Snake Pit to wear to see Enter Shikari...


Lastly, I picked up these cute shorts from New Look for just under £20. The material is kinda thin and I'm kinda bummed about still maxing out a UK10 (my starting size) after a year of dieting and being hungry, but this cut is just so adorable!

I actually finally started hanging up and sorting out my Black Milk, so hopefully I can have a huge clear out soon and get things tidy enough to do a room tour! I dunno though as I don't have much time and my anxiety is crazy enough right now without trying to throw away most of my possessions...

Juliette et Justine!

Waaaay back at the start of February a few Juliette et Justine rereleases went up for preorder. La Bibliotheque has been a piece I've loved for a long time, but in the end Die Sterntaler managed to tempt me too!

I decided to use fromjapan instead of ordering directly in the hopes of saving a little money, so I bought a couple other bits too. Express shipping turned out to be a waste of money though as it arrived in the country after a day and was then held up in customs for almost a week. VAT was just over £30, and shipping was a lot more than that! I think I'll get cheap shipping next time, although I like having tracking.


I was suprised by how small the box was!


The Juliette et Justine goodies!


A huge and gorgeous bag came with it, as well as a little catalogue.


These cute little rosettes were on the packaging.

The tags are adorable too!


I tried on La Bibliotheque first, and it fits like a glove! It cost ¥33,285 (£195), which is pretty pricey. My worries about the brand being too long on me were well founded though, and I realised that I don't own any petticoats that I can wear with it. So annoying as I wanted to wear it to the meet tomorrow, but it would probably look too sad without one!


The inner hem has the brand name printed on it! I think it's a great little touch. This is the antique orange colourway. Turns out that only the long section is chiffon, which suprised me a little.


Die Sterntaler is even longer and not the most flattering, but it's so flowy and lovely. This was slightly cheaper at ¥32,182 (£189).


The people look kinda creepy to be honest, but the stars really stand out with the flash!


I love how this brand does the flowy sleeves. They help conceal my horrid bony shoulders so well.

I would definitely buy Juliette et Justine pieces in future, but I have to work on getting accessories and things to match the style first as I only have really sweet things!

Other little buys from auctions since I'm here.


Holy Night Story headbow in green since I bought the JSK last time. ¥3,885 (£23) is a little expensive, but these don't seem to come up very often and this was a very popular print and colourway.


I also picked up this Baby, The Stars Shine Bright JSK for ¥3,045 (£18). I used to own a similar one that had really bad fading, but I sold it a few years ago and really regretted it. This one isn't quite as flattering, but the lace is really pretty.


Unfortunately it has a gross stain on the bottom! This wasn't mentioned in the listing and their photos completely hid it. Will have to try bleaching it or just leave it looking gross. Boo! I guess you can't expect too much for £18.

This will be my last lolita purchase for quite a long time now as I have no money at all after 4 Black Milk orders. I still have a holiday & a festival to pay for, and I'm really feeling the pinch!

Lolita Blog Carnival: Create A Flower Themed Coordinate

I'm contributing to this week's Lolita Blog Carnival theme a tad late, as I knew I was going to wear a flower theme coord to Enchanted! This was my first time wearing Angelic Pretty's Romantic Rose Letter, and it truly is a dream.


This was my first time wearing lenses and lashes! The lashes were so uncomfortable, but the lenses were mostly fine (I'll review them another time).


Shot before leaving. Was really difficult cramming the princess sleeves into my bolero! I didn't sort my hair out until I was in London as it was easier and I didn't want to risk missing my bus!

After eyeing up the BTSSB Valentine's watch for a week or so, I finally caved and ordered it. I picked up a couple mooks too to make the most of the postage.

I've never used amazon.co.jp before as I didn't realise that they shipped internationally. Also in Japan CDs tend to be really expensive, so I don't tend to order CDs (although I do own a little bunch of them). Mooks are much cheaper to buy direct, though!


I ordered on the 17th (Japanese time) and it arrived on the 19th here. So speedy! DHL even sent a text in the morning to say that it would be delivered today and that I could change it to Thursday or Friday delivery if I wanted. Shipping cost ¥2,200 (around £13), which isn't bad since I was buying a few things.


The box was sturdy and the items were sealed together in a bag which was glued to the box so the items wouldn't be damaged (unlike amazon.co.uk who use a huge box for everything, including calendars and vinyl records that then end up getting bent in transit).


My little haul! I realised the day after ordering that there's a Creamy Mami mook I really want, but I'll just have to hope it's still available when the next AP mook is released as shipping is insanely pricey for one item.


The BTSSB Valentine's watch! The 'book' is only a tiny booklet, but pretty sure everyone was buying it for the watch anyway. It cost ¥3,000 (£18).


The watch looks really cute! It's a shame there aren't numbers on the face though, as telling the time isn't a strong point of mine. Hopefully it will fit my silly tiny wrist!


Next up, a Muchacha Ahcahcum catalogue thingy with bunny bags. This was a total impulse buy, and I probably have no use for bunny bags really (I prefer my cat ones even if they are fake), but at ¥1,900 (£11) I dont regret it at all.


This bag isn't flat like the cat one was, but kind of squarer. Has an inner zip to keep your things safe! I guess this bag will go with a lot since the colours are simple. It's a shame that it's not bunny-shaped though.


Slightly creepy red-eyed bunny purse! This should go with the bunnies on Wonder Story and Wonder Queen, although it doesn't really match the bag it came with.


Lastly, I threw in the latest volume of Kera as it's my favourite mook/magazine. It was only ¥467 (under £3). I'm tempted to try to flesh out my collection a lot more next time I order - they're not only cheap, but have lots of pages of pure awesomeness!

Overall I am extremely happy with my order, although I haven't read my mooks yet! I'm definitely going to order more from amazon.co.jp in future, although I'll have to wait a while since I dropped almost £50 on this order...oops!
