Christmas Presents!

Been a bad blogger again, but I knew if I didn't do this post I would just leave my gifts in bags on my floor forever haha.


The first presents I opened were from Rob on Christmas Eve, a cute little owl snowglobe and some yummy chocs! He also ordered the Matte Pink Zip Suit, but it won't be here for a few weeks. Eeeeeeee!


On Christmas morning I opened my gifts from Sophie first. Felt so spoiled! Cute kitty socks, dress-up Pony mug, and Oujia-themed jewellery from Sugar & Vice ♥


Next I opened gifts from Rob's family. His mum always spoils me like crazy, I feel so guilty Dx I got a cute penguin hat and glove set (the gloves are too small for my man hands, nuuuuuuuuu! Hoping I can chop off the thumbs and stretch them out a little), chocolate wafer straws, boot bling, nail files, chocolate coins, glittery boots, London-themed jimmies, and Harry Potter socks. The bath set is from Rob's mum's boyfriend's sister haha.


Before a big Christmas lunch (with a yummy nut roast pastry thing that dad makes every year...yummmmm) I opened gifts from my dad's side of the family. I got the Wrapped Up Reversible Skater Dress, Max Raptor CD, and some Bodyshop stuff from my grandparents, and more Bodyshop stuff and Marmozets and Reuben CDs from my aunt. I'm a bit obsessed with Marmozets already!


The last gifts I opened in the evening were from my parents. My Dr Martens weren't wrapped up after having them put back for ages, ugh! I got cup measures, some watches for work, a Hello Kitty cake/jelly mould, Hello Kitty duvet, Hello Kitty belt (which my mum didn't realise was age 7-8, so it might make a good garter? lol), Hello Kitty mug & coaster set, and 6 pairs of sale tights from Next. So I actually got a bunch of stuff I will use! Success!

Wrapped

The latest Black Milk collection, Wrapped, was a bit of an odd one for me. I love all the matte jade pieces, but just couldn't justify buying any of them at the time of release so I now have to wait for restocks.


I didn't like the Fireworks Vs Not Actually Sequin Inside Out Dress on the site, but figured I'd chance it anyway. This probably wasn't wise, as it didn't sell out at all (even in the Cyber Sale!) and seems really unpopular. I hated it when I opened the packet, too. Luckily, I like it a lot more on! But it is awfully gaudy. The firework side seems perfect for New Year's Eve...but I won't be doing anything on that day as I never do! I also finally bought Warm Grey Pocket Leggings as I'd been wanting more staple pieces. These aren't as warm or soft as toasties, but they're pretty comfy and fit under other legs to keep me warm.


In a separate order I got the Wrapped Up Reversible Skater Dress. I have to hand it over to my grandparents though so they can give it to me for Christmas! It was just easier to place the order myself so that it went towards my buy count and so I could pay customs on it. I'm hoping I'll be able to dress it down, but failing that it'll be great for Christmas and birthday parties. This took forever to be sent out as it was a time limited piece, which kind of sucked! It only arrived today, along with the Drogon Dragon Egg HWMF Leggings that I panic bought when I thought they'd be going limited (they didn't).


I'm also caved and ordered the Snowflake Toasties from the US site, and they arrived super quick! Have barely taken them off since they arrived as they're so snug.

And some other random buys...oh dear! I did get rid of 3 bags of clothes and 2 bags of shoes though, so I'm at least starting to make room for this stuff!


I also finally got my hands on some original Mermaid Leggings! They're pretty faded and not as shiny as they should be, but I adore them and it makes them more wearable as they aren't so flashy. I did get catcalled when I wore them out though ¬_¬


I caved and bought Last Judgment Leggings randomly (I should stay away from BSS!).


I scored a cheap pair of Cross Of St Peter Black Leggings on Ebay.


And some Wallpaper Shiny Shiny (And High-Waisted!) Leggings from a lovely Sharkie. I hadn't tried these sweeties before!

Unsurprisingly I bought a bunch of things in the Cyber Sale, but they will probably take forever to arrive due to Christmas post! Here's hoping they get through customs like these orders did.

Christmas!

As with every year, I spend the whole of Christmas seeing loads of family and eating tons of great food! Here's the Christmas cake that I made...even though I don't like Christmas cake hehe.


I decided to wear lolita as I wear it every year on Christmas day. It's the only day I can get away with it without being insulted the whole day haha.


Something a bit more classic than usual, with the Innocent World JSK I bought at Frock On. It flattens my bust a lot, but it's such a gorgeous dress!

In the morning my close family opened our presents together.


Coco was excited about her kitty stocking, bubblewrap, and the box my presents were in!


And here are my gifts from my parents. Sleeve blanket, work out stuff, socks, calendar, sheets, shoes that I chose, and a Christmas jumper.


These are the gifts from Rob's family that I opened too. His mum spoils me so much Dx I love the lenticular kitty picture! I've put it up in the hallway already. Also a lamp, little mirrored box, chocolate, glitter eye shadow, nail varnish, marshmallows, and pefume.


And the gifts from Rob that I opened before Christmas! I was pretty shocked to get this Bodyline dress as I'd been eyeing it up for a while. And the fancy leather-bound version of Alice In Wonderland. I got him Adventure Time DS games that I plan to borrow hehe.


Here's the table set-up at my grandparents' house! Most people had turkey, but the veggies had a yummy nut roast in pastry that my dad made. And tons of sprouts, of course!


And the gifts from my grandparents and aunt. I'm looking forward to trying out the magnetic nail polishes. The Hello Kitty things are all nightwear, and the pearls are real ones.


And the slipper boots I'm wearing right now!

I spent the evening with some of my mum's family, having a natter and eating cheese rolls!

Christmas & New Year

Christmas was a bit naff this year due to exam and essay and presentation stress, but it was nice to take a bit of time off from that and see my family.

I made some awesome Christmas cakes...


I also got a whole bunch of CDs as gifts!


Only a couple of Hello Kitty items...(although I'm tempted to get Hello Kitty Vans in the sales)


And also a princess Cadence ♥


This year I guess I actually have new year's resolutions for once, off the back of what has been one of the crappiest years of my life. Looking back now it doesn't seem so bad though as all the crappy stuff feels like forever ago already! Here they are:

• Get fit! I used to go for a walk every day until the Summer, and I've only been once since I moved back here. I love walks, but I guess they've become associated with wanting to get out of the shithole I was living in. Plus the weather has been pants and it gets dark too early. But I'd like to walk lots again so I can get fit enough to run again.
• Give blood, even if it is only the once. I have to wait a while because of my tattoo though, so I guess I'll have to do it before the next one.
• Make fewer bad decisions, and hopefully better mistakes. Because everyone makes mistakes, right?
• Stop being so damn naive. I'll definitely be trying to not trust men, because every time I think I've made an awesome new friend they draw me in and then try take advantage, and when I turn them down they ditch me instantly. It blows and I really don't want to fall for it again.

To end on a lighter note, I did a little look around the sales and fell in love with this dress.


I'd seen the fabric before and loved it, but it was a long pleated dress which was a horrid style that wouldn't have suited me at all. They had a bunch of those, but this one was nestled in the middle. I tried it on thinking it wouldn't fit as their sizes generally run small and it was XS, but it fits like a glove. Hooray for growing sizes! It's all floaty and layered and lovely, the photo really doesn't do it justice.

Here's hoping I get through the rest of this month's stress!.

Christmas Overview

Didn't have a great Christmas, unfortunately. My brother was ill, so I barely got to see him all day and it meant that we weren't all together. Went to my grandparents' house with dad for lunch (our big roast) and to nan's with mum in the evening. Luckily the kids weren't too irritating! Tuuli was actually quite cute. I guess it was an alright day, I just didn't feel Christmassy at all this year. I think I'm too old!

I wore Twinkle Ornament in a casual coord. I was expecting my mum to flip out, but she only saw me in it for a while which is why I got away with it, I think. Gran seemed to like it - she's a seamstress so she could see the quality haha.


Check out my epic new slippers! I was wearing heels, but I switched as soon as I opened these.

Onto presents! All the books, CDs, DVDs were on my list...I had to write random things on my list because otherwise I wouldn't have gotten anything! Wish I'd thought to ask for a DS game or two, as I have nothing to play with =[

Dad said there are still 2 gifts that haven't arrived yet, but I'm pretty sure they are a CD (Million Dead) and a DVD (Frank Turner). Unless I get really lucky and one of them is the bookshelf which was actually the thing I wanted most (since I actually need one!).

And Candy enjoyed the empty bags and wrapping paper while we were eating lunch!

Christmas! Early Gifts =3

Haha sorry I always post all of my gifts up, and I thought I'd do one of my early gifts! I usually don't like to open presents before Christmas, but I kinda had to open ones from Rob while with him and so I opened all the other gifts I had received on the same day. Be warned - there be ponies ahead!


These were from Rob! I'd been wanting Celestia for ages, and now I finally have her! Apparently the Rainbow Dash set was an impulse buy on his part =P I have so many ponies now!


This stuff is from Rob's mum...OMG THE BOOTS! I'd been wanting some like this, but I hadn't seen them anywhere! Not sure about the coats as I'm much more of a black person that white, but I'm going to try to work them into my wardrobe. I'm hoping the chavvy one can be customised somehow to work with fairy-kei. Any ideas? I also had some glittery bath stuff =3


This necklace was from Sophie! It's so cute, although I'm scared to pull the tag out just in case it sets itself off all time (...but I'm curious to see what it does!).


And these were from Bexy! I love how much pony stuff I got, my friends are AWESOME xP

I dithered over getting the Happy Girl lucky pack in pink since the black salopette set was already sold out, but I have decided to leave it. I might try to get the JSK from it after New Year, when I have sorted out stuff to sell/trade. Trying to be more sensible with my money. So far it is no fun at all!

Christmas Lights

Sorry for neglecting my blog! I'll try to write more posts from now on. I've been sleeping a lot and panicking about my placement and research and yet not doing much work. Trying to get it all together. Next week should be no problem as I'm actually doing things for once!

In the afternoon I met Rob in town for some pony-hunting! He wasn't particularly enthused, but I gave him an early Christmas gift of Rush cassettes for him to use in his car to make up for it =P We didn't bother going in any charity shops and hunted for G4s instead, and I ended up getting these.


Can never have too many Pinkie Pies!! Although I have almost 20 of her now...eeek! I found her in WHSmith, this is the first luggage one I've seen. Dewdrop Dazzle came from Snook's, she was the only single there I don't have already (I can't afford the sets or bigger ponies).


Took a sneaky outfit shot while in M&S. Pretty messy because I was told it would be cold (it wasn't), so I even wore jeans under my dress...how uncouth! And I decided to keep my lovely Emily Temple Cute JSK for now, hooray! Also in this photo you can see my new phone. I haven't taken a proper photo of it yet, but when I do I'll share.

In the evening the Christmas lights were finally turned on in Bath, after having been up for about two months already! John Cleese turned them on...I'd kinda wanted to see that, but Rob was really tired and I wasn't feeling up to the task of trying to keep him amused whilst waiting outside in a crowd of people, so we went to Wetherspoons instead. I had a lovely curry, although I'm still annoyed they don't do the one I used to have anymore.

Came home early and have just been chilling out really (as much as one can do when they have a meeting with their supervisor tomorrow and they still don't understand anything about the subject area). Going to have a pretty hectic weekend what with meeting up with friends, finishing a report and whatever else I need to catch up on!
